Leaving Land for Nature's Sake. Possibility Podcast Session 23

Societal needs for housing, transport and energy supply, combined with the economic growth model on which our consumerism driven market is based, can mean that the necessity of leaving land alone for nature to have her way with it is easily overlooked or even conveniently ignored. Humans have voices to express their needs, what does Nature have? Fortunately, she has organizations known as Land Trusts, including the Land Conservancy for KFLA - the region of southeastern Ontario in which Sarah lives. In this episode Possibility Podcast host Sarah Knight speaks with Vicki Schmolka, the President for the Land Conservancy for KFLA, about the role of Land Trusts, the importance of land conservation, and roles that we can all play to ensure that the voices of nature lovers are heard so that we have some land that is simply left alone. (Session orginally recorded in November 2020, released in May 2021)
